Czarny Roman (Black Roman aka Death) has become a living legend in the mind of Warsaw citizens. Numerous hypothesis as to his identity have been put forward but as for now no one has managed to uncover the truth behind him...

What we know for sure is that he's always clad in black and you can bump into him strolling down the streets in the center of the city. One of the urban legends that circulates about Czarny Roman says that he once had a wife and a daughter and used to trade currencies during the transformation. One day his wife had left him with all the money and headed for the US. From that day on he supposedly started doing drugs and drinking heavily.

A spooky aura surrounds him, courtesy of his weird outfit and mysterious stories he tells. He often talks about a dreadful murder on a cementary or predicts the death of many people that is to come. He's also obsessed with organic food (here pictured with plain rice) and health-related topics. He only eats fruit and rice and drinks loads of birch-tree water.
