My dream is exactly the same

I've been in London for nearly 7 years I became Londoner now.
Is it life better here? -that's a very difficult question. I would say it's definitely easier. If you have a job you can easily manage to pay your bills and still there will be enough money for few more things. If you are here with your boyfriend/husband it's even better. Althoug I miss my family and friends, I can afford to buy a house, new car, and holidays few times a year. Of course money it's not everything but without them...well, there is no life

I know what you mean, but from time to time you can meet with them. On the other hand life like this is confortable, you can afford for many things, holiday few times a year like you said.
But as I am born traveler it will be for me adventure, nice experience and I WANT to see my boyfriend, I miss him a lot.

I would like to be a translator... And I have already translated a website It's my association's website, so I didn't get any money, but still it's quite satisfying. My dream job is translating movies, documentaries and stuff like that. Because when I hear/read those terrible translations to ręce opadają (is there any idiom like that in English? )

Ohh, hi nice! I also try eat a litlle bit less than always and eat more healthy food like fishes, vegatebles exactly try don't eat sweets and fat dishes.
I also do workout every fuc.ing day :P I've lost 2 kg for 3 weekes - for me it's nooot so good, I am proud but I want to more and more!

the appetite grows with what it feeds on! I want to see 55 kg on my scales and enjoy the life, now the life is brutal and I weight 66 I don't want to see this number any more... Well, I hope it will get better day after day, and you, have many kg do you want to loose ?

well, I have quite opposite problem. I have never had problems with speaking, but writing... eh. The more I think about grammar and vocabulary choice the more mistakes I make

I have recently started thinking about becoming sworn translator. My current job has one huge advantage - I am regularly asked for translating various things - from simple e-mails to debit/credit notes or manuals. Here I came across real-life technical English. It's much different from the one in books! To be honest, I sometimes have to call my colleagues (engineers) and ask for explanation. I have also learnt many new words in Polish

Other frequent mistake connected with food is word "fruit"
(singular) fruit - (pl) fruit

With all rescpect, there's a little chance you'll pass the exam. Currently, only about 5% passes it. And there are some doubts about the honesty. There is a website, and the only specific things you get are the names of the examination board. So... not cool. It is sick, this whole process. konfitura_ mentioned earlier she prefered American accent to English one, but I must admit that I simply hate itWhen I'm watching sth or listening to, I always try to choose British English, not American. Even if I'm only reading. I think that I have been learning that accent in the course of my education and that's why I don't want to change it, but because of many factors we tend to mix them both. Besides, American English souds dreadful.

My body also changed a lot in the last moth.
Hmm I do exercise everyday, 30-45 min - it depends how I feel and when I have a litlle bit time to do this.
generally I'm jogging from time to time, skippin rope, do a lot of different exercise on the floor like sits up, if I have a big motiwation ( only few times I had ) I'm going to ice-skates or go swimming to the swimmin pool. There are a lot ways in which we can workout but the most important rule is 'don't give up' and be systematic - and for me of course- it's the worse.

I have to disagree with you. Half of my lecturers were sworn translators. Two of my teachers also passed this exam. All of them come from small towns of even villages. None of them have connections that would help them to become sworn translators. I do not believe in dishonesty when it comes to this exam
5% does not surprise me. In fact, there is a fixed limit of people that can pass the exam. It does not matter how many points you got, only 5% of people with best results can pass. I am aware of the fact that I can fail, but the only reason will be my unsuficient knowledge.
It is also not true that the only information deals with examination board. Dig the internet deeper there are much more information!

Girls, if you want to read a book in English, you don't necessarily have to buy it. There're lots of e-books written in English on the Internet. Check out the link below. It's Peter Pan by James M. Barrie. The language in which Peter Pan was written is not difficult as the book is specifically for kids! But as we all know, it's suitable for adults too!

ah, i remember harry potter was the first book i read in english

Sometimes I'm reading and sometimes I'm listening to audiobook. From the first novel, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone" - I read 6 chapters, so it's 115 pages Other 11 chapters I listened to.
Now I'm in the second novel, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" - I read 6 chapters (101 pages) and I listened to 2 chapters. There are ONLY 10 chapters more

see! I sometimes make stupid mistakes. of course, I know it is uncountable and goes with "is", but still, I made mistake. It irritates me.

Indeed, they passed the exam according to old rules, but they weren't much older. My youngest lecturer (still MA then) was 27, and she has already been s.t.

I believe that the number of s.t. should be small in order to keep this title prestigeous. I am surprised about such a small number of s.ts in your region! I live in a town of 15.000 people and here are 4 s.t of English, 3 of German and 1 of Russian/Ukrainian. (only among those I know - all of them are ex-teachers). It is too much!
